When I get a new freelance assignment or an email from an editor who wants to publish one of my essays, many months elapse before my words finally land on the printed page.

It’s just the nature of the business. So, Hot Off the Press means just what it says. It’s my latest published work. Enjoy.

I have an eclectic selection of publications to share this month …

• How My Non-Writing Experience Launched My Freelance Career and Led to a Lucrative Niche

My completed assignments for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums have been piling up.  If you’re into animals and/or conservation, take a look!

I have two newly published essays on the Erma Bombeck Writer’s Workshop Blog!
On the off chance that you don’t recognize her name, Erma Bombeck was a renowned humorist in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s who entertained millions of readers — including my Mom and me — with her newspaper column, At Wit’s End. She wrote about the ups and downs of life as a wife and mother with wit, warmth and relatability, and set the bar high for all humor essayists who want to follow in her footsteps. I’m thrilled to appear on the blog.
Hope you enjoy the stories!

It sounds like a very cool place.
